Franchase is an independent franchise advisory based at Sunnyrock HQ in Germiston. We help South Africans compare franchise options, judge agreements and plan for the work ahead.

Meet us at HQ or in your city

Too many founders buy a franchise on promises alone. We keep the advice clear, the comparisons side by side, and every review in writing. Paths, territories, and field guides are the product.

Meet the team

Who we are and where we fit

Franchase is South Africa’s independent franchise advisory, operated by Astros Marketing (Pty) Ltd from Sunnyrock HQ in Germiston. We are not a franchise broker, and no franchisor pays us for introductions or referrals. Our work is for people who want to judge franchise opportunities on facts, before signing anything.

Our advice suits founders, operators and buyers who want to understand categories, compare operating styles and plan their capital. We meet at our Sunnyrock office or at review bays in Sandton, Rosebank, Menlyn, Brooklyn, Canal Walk, Tyger Valley, V&A Waterfront and Gateway. Our team brings experience in franchise planning, territory checks and business review.

Why we stay independent of franchisors

We are paid only by people who need franchise advice, never by franchisors. This keeps our comparisons clean and factual. We do not promote, rate or steer you toward any franchise brand. We work with you to match your background, available time, funds and working style to the main requirements of each franchise group.

We always tell you when a legal or tax professional should be involved and do not give legal or tax opinions ourselves. Our comparisons focus on types of franchise, not real brand names, so you can judge your fit and risks in plain terms.

How we work with you

Our main services are Fit Finder, which matches your experience, capital, hours and temperament to franchise types, and Numbers & Notes, which gives you a decision pack on fees, working capital and territory. Fourteen category paths let you assess fit and starting capital for sectors such as Food Service, Automotive, Education and Retail. Each path includes a fit check and capital notes.

We also offer territory playbooks, field guides, worksheets and brand-family comparisons. Review sessions can be booked at Sunnyrock HQ or any of our city review bays. Our team can help you read disclosure documents, plan working capital, prepare questions and judge territory rights before you sign.

Franchise law and sector basics

Buying a franchise in South Africa is protected by law. The Consumer Protection Act, section 7, says the franchise agreement must be in writing and signed, and you may cancel without penalty within 10 business days if you notify in writing. This right must appear on the first page of your agreement.

CPA Regulation 3 requires the franchisor to give you a disclosure document at least 14 days before you sign. It must be dated and signed by an authorised officer and include outlet numbers, turnover, net profit, solvency, written projections, a support organogram and full contact details for current franchisees. You have the right to contact any listed franchisee or visit their outlets. FASA says franchising contributes about 15 percent of South Africa’s GDP.
