Who Franchase helps buy franchises

We work with first-time franchise buyers, managers moving out of corporate, families pooling money for a shared business and operators looking to add a second or third outlet. Many buyers want to compare franchise categories side by side, work out what fits their capital and see what it takes to run each type of operation before they commit.

Our team has guided candidates through the practical steps of matching experience, temperament and working hours with franchise paths that fit South African realities. We are fully independent and do not receive payment from franchisors for sending buyers their way.

What you receive from Franchase

Fit Finder is your first match session. We use your background, working capital range, preferred hours and how hands-on you want to be to suggest franchise categories that fit. From there, you can explore one of our fourteen category paths for a fit check, capital notes and practical guidance on what running that type of franchise in South Africa involves.

Numbers & Notes is our decision pack with tailored notes on fees, working capital planning and territory questions. We also supply territory playbooks, field guides and plain worksheets to help you compare your shortlist by category, budget and operating style. We give you questions to ask the franchisor and explain when you should see a franchise attorney or accountant for opinions beyond our scope.

How franchise buyers check the facts

South Africa’s Consumer Protection Act (CPA) requires every franchisor to give you a disclosure document at least 14 days before you sign, showing outlet numbers, recent growth, support teams and other key facts. The franchise agreement must be in writing and you may cancel it without penalty within 10 business days after signing, by giving written notice. The law requires this right to be stated on the first page of the agreement.

We explain what to look for in the disclosure document, what the numbers mean and how to contact current franchisees for their experience. We do not identify or score specific franchise brands; instead, we set out franchise models and structures to help you spot potential issues and missing details before you finalise any deal.

How to start your franchise review

Start by sending us a message through our contact form with your background, capital range and what you want to build. We will set up your Fit Finder session and recommend one or more category paths to review.

From there, you can add Numbers & Notes for a detailed pack on fees, working capital and territory. If you want to check site choices, field guides or territory catchment, we can arrange an appointment at Sunnyrock HQ or a review bay in Sandton, Rosebank, Menlyn, Brooklyn, Canal Walk, Tyger Valley, the V&A Waterfront or Gateway.

FASA held its National Conference and Expo in Boksburg, where many people discussed franchise opportunities in South Africa. We help you make your own comparisons, on your terms, with independent advice and practical fieldwork.
